Movie Review ... "21 Jump Street"

21 Jump Street is a 2012 American action comedy film starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, scripted by Michael Bacall (from a story by both Hill and Bacall), and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.[5] Based on the 1987 television series of the same name by Stephen J. Cannell and Patrick Hasburgh,
the film follows two police officers who are forced to relive high
school when they are assigned to go undercover as high school students
to prevent the outbreak of a new synthetic drug and arrest its supplier.
It was released theatrically on March 16, 2012, and garnered both
critical and commercial success. A sequel entered development shortly
before its release.
Plot
Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) are former classmates who meet again at police academy. Schmidt, obsessed with Eminem
was a chubby nerd while Jenko was an underachieving jock. They end up
becoming best friends at the academy as they help with each other's
weaknesses, with Schmidt helping Jenko study and Jenko motivating
Schmidt through physical activity. They graduate together as partners,
but are assigned to park patrol. They catch a break when they spot a
group of One Percenters and arrest their leader Domingo (DeRay Davis). However, the department is forced to release him as Jenko forgot the wording of the Miranda rights. The two are reassigned to a revived specialty division on 21 Jump Street.
They are introduced to Captain Dickson (Ice Cube),
who explains the division specializes in infiltrating high schools and
that they were chosen because of their youthful appearances. Schmidt and
Jenko are assigned to stop a new synthetic drug from spreading to other
schools by finding the supplier. They go undercover as brothers, living
at Schmidt's parents' house. Jenko accidentally switches their
identities and they get each other's classes. They learn the lead dealer
of the drug is the popular Eric (Dave Franco), but he is not the supplier.
They go to the dealing room where Eric forces them to take the drug
there and not wait. They attempt to regurgitate it but are unsuccessful,
and they undergo the phases of the drug while talking to their P.E.
teacher, Mr. Walters (Rob Riggle),
and also while running track and during band practice. The mistakes
that happen at the track meet cause Eric to take a liking to Schmidt.
Schmidt manages to fit in with the popular kids and takes a romantic interest in Eric's friend Molly (Brie Larson), while Jenko becomes friends with the nerds in his AP Chemistry class while his teacher Ms. Griggs (Ellie Kemper)
takes a sexual interest in him. Jenko discovers that his new friends
secretly tap into other people's cell phones to listen into their
conversations. Schmidt decides to throw a party at his house to gain
Eric's complete trust and Jenko takes the opportunity to tap into Eric's
phone. Despite Captain Dickson ordering them not to serve alcohol and
drugs to minors, they nevertheless buy alcohol and steal confiscated
marijuana. When Eric arrives with Molly and his other friends, Jenko
steals Eric's phone for his friends to tap into while Schmidt fights off
a rival of Eric's.
Schmidt pretends to sell the drug for Eric but is actually giving it
to Captain Dickson to be confiscated. While at Eric's house, Schmidt
asks Molly out to prom while Jenko listens through Eric's phone. He also
insults Jenko to Eric with Jenko listening. Schmidt and Jenko learn
that Eric is making a deal soon. When Jenko spots Eric leaving school,
he takes Schmidt to follow him. They see that Eric is dealing with the
One Percenters and they follow them, but are forced to run away when
Domingo spots them. Back at school, Jenko accuses Schmidt of his earlier
insults, possibly ruining the case, and getting in too deep, but
Schmidt brushes him off. Jenko and Schmidt get into a fight that results
in Molly not liking Schmidt, Schmidt and Jenko getting expelled and
fired from Jump Street.
Later that night, both are confronted by Eric and his friends, who
want to bring them on as security after hearing about what happened with
the One Percenters. He tells them about a deal happening during prom
where they get to meet the supplier. At prom, they are surprised to see
that the supplier is Mr. Walters. The One Percenters arrive for the
deal, and Domingo recognizes Schmidt and Jenko as police officers, and
tells two of his men to kill them. However, the two men reveal
themselves as DEA Agents Tom Hanson (Johnny Depp) and Doug Penhall (Peter DeLuise),
who were a part of the Jump Street program when it began. Hanson
casually talks to Schmidt and Jenko during the standoff which gives
Domingo the opportunity to kill Hanson and Penhall. A gunfight ensues
among Schmidt and Jenko, Mr. Walters, and the One Percenters. Mr.
Walters and Eric escape in a limo with a drug-influenced Molly as a
hostage, with the One Percenters in pursuit of them in another limo.
Schmidt and Jenko pursue all of them in another limo where Jenko creates
a homemade chemical bomb from his knowledge in AP Chemistry to kill the
One Percenters. They then confront Mr. Walters, who shoots at Schmidt.
Jenko jumps in front of Schmidt, saving his life and getting shot in the
arm and his chest, which was protected by a bullet-proof vest, in the
process. In response, Schmidt shoots Mr. Walters in the groin, severing
his penis. The duo successfully arrest him and Eric and make amends with
each other. Schmidt makes amends with Molly and the two share a kiss.
They are rehired into Jump Street where Dickson gives them a new
assignment in a college setting, to Schmidt's excitement but to Jenko's
dismay.

Selamat hari minggu semuanya, mari kita bersantai sejenak di hari minggu ini. Dikala hari senin sampe sabtu kita berkutat dengan segala macam urusan kita, luangkanlah waktu kita di hari minggu untuk bersantai ... :)
Selayaknya judul di atas, saya ingin mencurahkan isi hati saya, Ini mengenai 'Love Life' saya.
Jujur, saya lagi dekat dengan seseorang, saya menyukainya, ingat hanya menyukainya. Si dia menyatakan cinta kepada saya dan saya hanya membalasnya dengan ucapan terima kasih. hmmm!
Si Dia ingin menjalin hubungan dengan saya, hanya saja kita BERBEDA. Kalo kata orang perbedaan bisa menyatukan kita, justru bagi saya 'Perbedaan' ini membuat kita jauh. hmmm!!!
Disaat ada orang yang cocok dengan kita, 'Perbedaan' justru menjauhkan kita. tetapi disaat ada yang tidak cocok dengan kita, justru 'Persamaan' menyatukan kita. So, Unpredictable!!!
Jujur sampe sekarang kita masih berhubungan, tapi yang saya bingung, hubungan kita ini apa? teman? iya sih teman, tapi kesannya kita lebih dari teman.
sepertinya hubungan kita menggantung .. hmmm! what should I do? I don't know...
biarkan saja berjalan seperti air.
seperti itulah kisah 'Love Life' saya.
Oh iya, saya juga lagi krisis sahabat. Krisis sahabat disini, seperti saya mempunyai teman-teman yang sudah saya anggap sahabat saya sendiri, tapi entah kenapa, mereka sering mengejek saya bahkan menghina saya. Disaat mereka lagi bahagia, seolah-olah mereka lupa pada saya, tapi disaat sedang kesusahan, saya mereka jadikan sebagai satu-satunya orang yang bisa menolong mereka. Itukah yang disebut sahabat? Entahlah ....

Intermessooo .. "Dilemma? Opps!"
DILEMA. Sepertinya itulah kata yang pantas untuk menggambarkan perasaan saya saat ini. Kenapa coba, disaat sekarang banyak cinta yang mendekat dan menghampiri saya. Mulai dari teman kuliah saya, rekan kerja saya di kantor, dan teman pria saya yang lain. Kenapa coba disaat sekarang? disaat saya mulai berada di tengah roda perputaran hidup. Ya Allah, Ya Tuhanku, sejujurnya saya menyukai beberapa dari mereka. Saya ingin menghargai rasa cinta mereka kepada saya, tetapi, jika saya hanya memilih salah satu dari mereka, maka ada hati yang kecewa. Mungkin menghindar lebih baik.

Movie Review ... "The Lucky One"

The Lucky One is a 2012 romantic drama film directed by Scott Hicks and released April 2012. It is an adaptation of the 2008 novel of the same name, by Nicholas Sparks. The film stars Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling, and Blythe Danner.
Plot
Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) is a U.S. Marine serving his third tour of duty in Iraq, who survives a night raid in which two platoons are ambushed, resulting in fatalities. The following morning, he sees something glinting in the sun and walks over to pick it up; it is a picture of a woman, with the message "keep safe x" written on the back. At that moment, a mortar attack destroys where he had been sitting before he saw the picture, killing those around him, but leaving him with minor injuries. He then tries to find the owner of the picture, but has no success and assumes whoever owned the picture is dead.
Prior to returning home, Logan and a squadmate are driving and discussing the picture. Logan declares that the woman in the picture is his "guardian angel"; the vehicle is hit by a roadside bomb, and once again Logan is the sole survivor.
Later, Logan returns to Colorado to live with his sister and her family, who have been looking after his German Shepherd, Zeus. Suffering from survivor guilt, he finds it difficult to adjust to life back home. He decides it is best to leave, and records a message on his sister's laptop explaining his reasons.
He takes Zeus and walks to Louisiana, as a landmark in the picture of the unknown woman points to her location there. On arrival, he asks around and a local in a bar recognizes the woman, but warns Logan that she used to be married to a friend of his.
Logan finds the woman's workplace, a dog kennel, and when he finally meets her - Beth Clayton (Taylor Schilling), he is unable to explain why he is there; she assumes he wants to apply for a job opening, but is wary of him, wondering why he would walk all the way from Colorado to Louisiana to apply for a job helping out in a dog kennel. Her grandmother Ellie (Blythe Danner) decides to give him the job, much to Beth's surprise. At first, Beth is irritated by Logan's presence, but begins to warm to him as he develops a relationship with her son Ben.
Logan finds out that Beth had a brother named Drake who was killed in action (KIA) during his second tour in Iraq and that his death devastated her; having little information about the circumstances, Beth wanted to know if her brother had died for nothing.
Logan meets Beth's ex, Sheriff Deputy Keith Clayton, who is the son of the town's judge and mayoral hopeful. He is immediately suspicious and jealous of the newcomer and doesn't hide his disdain for the former Marine. He is ruthless and always wants to win, a trait he is trying to instill in his son, and discourages Ben from playing the violin around him, something which causes Ben to practice in his tree house by himself.
Keith and Beth have a disagreement when he returns Ben to her bloodied from a charity baseball game, and he threatens to take full custody of Ben to intimidate Beth and make her life miserable.
During a walk with Zeus, Logan overhears Ben playing the violin in the tree house and compliments him on it. Later, Ben finds out that Logan is good at playing the piano and they decide to team up, with Ben now practicing in the house. They find other common interests which bring them even closer.
On the anniversary of Drake's death, Logan comforts Beth and they grow closer, and Beth opens up about the life she had with her brother when they were young. She takes Logan to the boat her parents owned and reminisced about when they used to ride the boat when they were children, but the boat now stays in the harbor, as it requires repair.
Keith tries to do something about the budding friendship between Beth and Logan, and she stands up to Keith, showing that she is not intimidated by him anymore. She begins to pursue a relationship with Logan, much to the happiness of Ellie.
During a performance in the local church, Logan and Ben play their instruments as Ben now has the confidence to play in public. Outside, Keith is met by the local person Logan talked to when he arrived into town and is told about the photograph. Keith tells Beth and she gets upset with Logan. As he walks away from the house, Ben comes out and gives him a book on chess. Ellie tries to talk to her granddaughter, explaining that it isn't Logan's fault that he survived and Drake did not.

Jujur, saat ini saya lagi menyukai seseorang. Dia adalah teman saya, ketika disampingnya, saya merasa nyaman berada di dekatnya. hmmm, sepertinya dia tidak mengetahui bahwa saya menyukainya, sehingga saya hanya menyukainya, tidak lebih. saya tidak mau terlalu berharap, karena berharap sesuatu yang tidak pasti itu pada akhirnya menyakitkan. untunglah saya bisa melindungi diri saya, sehingga saya hanya menyukainya bukan mencintainya. jika kita menyukai sesuatu, suatu saat pasti rasa suka itu akan hilang. memang menyakitkan apabila kita menyukai seseorang tanpa orang tersebut ketahui. rasa ini tak mungkin bisa diungkapkan, jika tak terbalas. benar bukan?

Selamat malam semuanya dimana pun kalian membaca blog saya .
Hari ini adalah hari sabtu dan itu artinya saya tetap menjalankan aktifitas saya seperti biasanya. Biasanya hari sabtu adalah hari yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh sepasang kekasih untuk menikmati saturday night bersama .. *duiiilehh*
